Hand crafted cake toppers are a beautiful, personal and unique way to top your cake. They can often be custom made. Even better they can be made by someone you know or they can be a way to support a local crafter/artist. For those who are crafty and artistic themselves, it can be a do it yourself project!

Where would you find a hand crafted cake toppers? Well there are a few different places to look. You can check out local craft fairs and exhibits. Try looking or asking at local art shops, if they don’t have one, they could refer you to someone. You can also check local art associations. Or you can go online. Etsy is an AMAZING resource for hand crafted items, including unique and custom cake toppers. Etsy has a whole network of artists, so you can shop online and find what you like.

There are many people who are crazy about there pet. My sister is like that. In love with her pets. There are also people who are passionate about a certain type of pet or animal. I have friends like that too.

Cats seem to be an animal whom people are passionate about. They love their cat, but they often love all cats as well. They are fervid about feline! And I have known some of those who are fervid about feline to find each other and fall in love!

And so there is an entire market out there for cat lovin’ cake toppers! There are ceramic cats, kissing cats, fuzzy cats, remarkable real looking cats, all in a cake topper to fit on your cake!

Definitely unique and a great way to share your passion for all things cat!

After living in the Boston area for a while, I had a whole new picture of baseball and baseball fans. I have discovered how loyal these fans are. How committed to the sport and to their team. How affected they are by the ups and downs. In Boston, when the Red Sox win, everybody celebrates!

What a perfect opportunity for a cake! Not only for the big league games, but also for the little league games and celebrations! Celebrate with a cake and decorate it baseball style! You can get toppers these days that depict your favorite team. You can also get toppers that display different elements of this amazing sport! The American past time!

Precious Moments Cake Toppers

Precious Moments have become a part of American History and culture. They have been around for over 20 years now. Originally created by artist Sam Butcher, they were initially characters used in greeting cards. However a partnership between artist Sam Butcher, business man Eugene Freedman and sculpter Yasuhei Fujiok in 1978 took these little characters to an all new level, bringing the emotion, care and messages of love and friendship to life.

There are now thousands of these remarkable porcelain figurines. These characters still exist in greeting cards and they have become prominent in many other forms as well. They really do bring to life a message of love.

Precious moments can be the perfect touch for your special occaision or wedding. There are a variety of precious moments cake toppers, for many occaisions and to send just the right message of love or friendship.

These figures definitely are precious!

The Equestrian Cake Topper

Living in Kentucky, I am very familiar with horse lovers!  Horses are such a remarkable and awesome animal.  They radiate beauty and strength.  They are a friend and aid to men (and women).  They are part of a lifestyle for many.  A lifestyle of sport and class.

If horses are a part of your lifestyle or perhaps they are simply an animal you enjoy whenever and however you can, you may want to incorporate them into the special occaisions of your life.

Horses are beautiful on top of a cake and make a stunning cake topper.  The beauty  and strength that these creatures embody are a stunning.  I particularly like the cake topper pictured below.  It has a country feel, and while it depicts a man and women on horses, it feels like a relaxing afternoon with your love and friend, enjoying the peacefulness.  It tells a story of two people, on a journey together.  That’s a lot for a cake topper, but I think this one really pulls it off.

Vintage anything is awesome. There is so much character and beauty in vintage items. Vintage can be many different things, many different styles, it is often eclectic and unique, something possibly just your style.

You can now find vintage cake toppers. I have seen very cool vintage looking caking toppers, that are made to look like a traditional wedding topper from years gone past. Very classic and beautiful.

And I have seen actual cake toppers from days gone by, a beautiful piece of history incorporated into your special day!

I have also seen more eclectic vintage cake toppers, a collection or design of various vintage items, carefully fashioned into a beautiful peice of art for the top of your cake! It is an incredible way to not only add beauty but whimsey and character to your special day! Something uniquely you!

Wilton is one of the most well known companies in the cake baking industry. They have lead that industry for over 80 years now. They sell all the right products for baking and crafting the perfect cake for the occasion. There products are quality. They offer many tools for baking, designing and decorating unique cakes, specialized for any occasion.

So, naturally, they are great place to look for a quality, but unique cake topper!
