Custom Cake Topper

Recently some good friends of mine got married.  Some other, mutual friends who happen to be artists assisted them with their wedding invitations and cake topper among other things.

The invitation was made to their liking and specifications with characters made to resemble the happy couple.  My friend Arian designed the invitation.  Then Arian’s husband Daniel, sculpted a cake topper of the characters on the invitation.  The result (of both) was fantastic.  Very unique.  Very personal.  Very memorable.  Very well done.

Bling Bling Cake Toppers

So you have heard the term Bling.  Do you know what it means?  It is a hip hop term for flashy ostentatious jewlery or other accessories, etc.   It is often used to refer to things that are glittery, sparkly and flashy.

It is also used to describe what some people are looking for in a cake topper.  What does a bling bling cake topper look like?  Well they often have sequins in their design.  Sometimes rhinestones, or other jewels.  Sometimes made from crystal.  They can be gold or silver. They are bold and flashy!  They add sparkle and catch your eye.  They make a statement.

Monogram cake toppers are a great way to add some bling.  You could have a jeweled monogram cake topper.

Other custom cake toppers can artistically add the sparkle and bling that one desires.

When you are getting married, hopefully you are marrying someone who is a great friend.  You want them to become your best friend if they are not already.  This is who you are spending the rest of your life with!  You want to enjoy their company.

But enough about marrying your friend!  A dog is often called a man’s best friend, because they are loyal and faithful in all circumstances and always by your side.  (Really, like your spouse should be!)  If you have a dog and are getting married, you may also want them to be a part of the day….since you are becoming one big happy family.

So why not have a dog on your cake topper?  There are lot’s of great cake toppers with dogs.  Some with the married couple and a dog, some with a couple of your favorite kind of dog.  There are lots of options!

Well I recently posted about baseball cake toppers. As I was looking at different baseball cake toppers I found an incredible amount of wedding baseball cake toppers!

It seems America’s favorite past time has deeply affected many couples these days, enough to use them as the focal point for their wedding cake!

Really, baseball is such a great sport to both watch and play with those you love, why not? right?

Wedding Anniversary Cake Topper

It is standard for there to be a cake at a wedding and a special cake topper, all to celebrate this happy occasion and honor the future life together of the happy couple.

Anniversaries, in my opinion are an even more spectacular and important event.  They are a way to celebrate the success and faithfulness of that commitment and life together as well as to honor the continued life together.  Each anniversary is important, however there are milestone anniversaries that get special attention, and that people often celebrate with a party, couples sometimes renew their vows  and often there is a cake!

There are many options for anniversary cake toppers!  Probably just as many as wedding cake toppers!  They can look very much like wedding cake toppers, or they can focus on the number of years the couple has been together.

We have the honor this year of celebrating my husbands parents 50th wedding anniversary.  50 years!  Now that is something to celebrate.  So my mind has been on that celebration.  Here are a few cake toppers I have seen for those amazing couples who have shared 50 years together.

The Purrfect Cat Cake Topper!

There are many people who are crazy about there pet. My sister is like that. In love with her pets. There are also people who are passionate about a certain type of pet or animal. I have friends like that too.

Cats seem to be an animal whom people are passionate about. They love their cat, but they often love all cats as well. They are fervid about feline! And I have known some of those who are fervid about feline to find each other and fall in love!

And so there is an entire market out there for cat lovin’ cake toppers! There are ceramic cats, kissing cats, fuzzy cats, remarkable real looking cats, all in a cake topper to fit on your cake!

Definitely unique and a great way to share your passion for all things cat!

Precious Moments Cake Toppers

Precious Moments have become a part of American History and culture. They have been around for over 20 years now. Originally created by artist Sam Butcher, they were initially characters used in greeting cards. However a partnership between artist Sam Butcher, business man Eugene Freedman and sculpter Yasuhei Fujiok in 1978 took these little characters to an all new level, bringing the emotion, care and messages of love and friendship to life.

There are now thousands of these remarkable porcelain figurines. These characters still exist in greeting cards and they have become prominent in many other forms as well. They really do bring to life a message of love.

Precious moments can be the perfect touch for your special occaision or wedding. There are a variety of precious moments cake toppers, for many occaisions and to send just the right message of love or friendship.

The Equestrian Cake Topper

Living in Kentucky, I am very familiar with horse lovers!  Horses are such a remarkable and awesome animal.  They radiate beauty and strength.  They are a friend and aid to men (and women).  They are part of a lifestyle for many.  A lifestyle of sport and class.

If horses are a part of your lifestyle or perhaps they are simply an animal you enjoy whenever and however you can, you may want to incorporate them into the special occaisions of your life.

Horses are beautiful on top of a cake and make a stunning cake topper.  The beauty  and strength that these creatures embody are a stunning.  I particularly like the cake topper pictured below.  It has a country feel, and while it depicts a man and women on horses, it feels like a relaxing afternoon with your love and friend, enjoying the peacefulness.  It tells a story of two people, on a journey together.  That’s a lot for a cake topper, but I think this one really pulls it off.

Vintage anything is awesome. There is so much character and beauty in vintage items. Vintage can be many different things, many different styles, it is often eclectic and unique, something possibly just your style.

You can now find vintage cake toppers. I have seen very cool vintage looking caking toppers, that are made to look like a traditional wedding topper from years gone past. Very classic and beautiful.

And I have seen actual cake toppers from days gone by, a beautiful piece of history incorporated into your special day!

I have also seen more eclectic vintage cake toppers, a collection or design of various vintage items, carefully fashioned into a beautiful peice of art for the top of your cake! It is an incredible way to not only add beauty but whimsey and character to your special day! Something uniquely you!
